According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Edinburg’s population increased from 105,956 in 2023 to 108,733 in 2024, marking a 2.62% rise. This growth has led to a surge in construction activity, with permit valuations reaching $364.3 million by October 2025, a 32% increase from the previous year.
Infrastructure Enhancements
To support this expansion, the city is investing in infrastructure improvements. A $33 million project is underway to expand the wastewater treatment plant’s capacity from 12.3 million to 13.5 million gallons per day.
